My name is Christina and I used to sell my handmade jewelry on Etsy. I left Etsy and quit my business because Etsy's fees are ridiculous now and because I realized I prefer to make stuff for friends and family as gifts rather than creating stock to sell.
I also have had a few art blogs already, but those are either outdated now (like my business blog that no longer exists) or the blog site I used has become blah, as such I felt a new one has to be made. This blog is going to be a bit different from my previous blogs.
In my business blog it was more informative of what I was selling and in other previous blogs I merely shared pictures of what I have created with some tiny backstories. What I plan to do with this blog is share with you all not just what I've made, but also how I've grown as an artist, my techniques if I think I have any to expand upon, and also free crochet patterns that I have come up with.
I do a variety of arts and crafts (I'm no master in them all, but I am advanced in a few, intermediate in a few others, and beginner in the rest):
Draw on paper and digitally (Advanced)
Embroidery (Reaching Intermediate)
Needle Felting (Intermediate)
Crochet (Just Reached Intermediate)
Beading (Advanced)
Wire Wrapping (Advanced)
Polymer Clay Sculpting (Intermediate)
Sewing (Close to Intermediate)
3D Pen Art (Beginnger)
Water Color Painting (Beginner)
Brush Lettering (Beginner)
Scrap Booking/Paper Crafting (Intermediate)
Art is my passion and my life. I deal with a mental disorder that makes life more difficult for me than the average people I know, and art is how I cope with it. I really want my passion for what I make to shine through and I really hope anyone who comes across this blog to be able to see just how much love I put into my creations. That is my ultimate goal with this blog. I enjoy sharing my creations with just about anyone I come across. I ignore mean critiques and grow from constructive criticism. I know that online there are many harsh critics who troll rather than giving me any reason to take them seriously, and I know there are people out there who truly just want to give feedback worth my time to consider.
So, yeah. Welcome to my blog, For the Love of Art.
Sincerely,
Christina
